✧ Entry No.3 — My Medical Medium Story ✧
A Facebook article, a glass of celery juice, and a kitchen I never expected.
In 2018, I came across an article on Facebook that caught my attention. It showed a before-and-after photograph of a woman. In the first, she looked tired and worn down. In the second, she looked fresh, vibrant, and alive.
The funny thing is, I wasn’t looking for health advice or searching for a new lifestyle. At the time, I had a lot going on with my parents—especially my mother’s health—and most of my energy was tied up in family problems.
Still, something about that photograph stayed with me.
I looked up Medical Medium and eventually bought his first book. I thought I was already a healthy eater. What I didn’t realize was that healthy and healthy for me weren’t necessarily the same thing.

🍎 I Started with Fruit

I didn’t change everything overnight. I started with fruit—which was funny, because for years I had heard every possible reason not to eat it: too much sugar, don’t eat it after noon, don’t eat too much of it. You know the drill.
A little later, I added celery juice.

The first time I drank it, I remember thinking it was pretty strong stuff. But I kept going.
A few months later, I noticed that the color in my face looked brighter and my skin looked fresher. Other people began commenting on how good I looked.
That was probably the first time I thought:
Okay, something is happening here.

🍋 A New Morning Ritual

Today my mornings begin with lemon water, followed by celery juice, a few quiet moments with my Transurfing notebook, and then breakfast.
It’s one of my favorite parts of the day—quiet, familiar, and something I genuinely look forward to.
What surprised me most about changing the way I ate wasn’t what I gave up. It was what I didn’t miss.
I don’t miss meat, dairy, or eggs. I don’t even miss most sugary desserts. Instead, I discovered an entirely new way of cooking.
🥣 My kitchen slowly filled with dishes I never imagined I would make: Portobello Stew, Tikka Masala, Japchae, Vegan Ramen, Chickpea Tuna Salad, and all kinds of soups.

My wild blueberry banana bread became one of the most requested things I make for friends. And when I want something sweet, there are always Maple Fudge Squares or Rice Krispy Treats.
